BlueBubble is a minimal & elegant Wordpress portfolio theme. Much more is not to say... ;-) Let's start setting up your own site. It's quite easy.

1. Setting Up The Theme

1.) Login to your Wordpress admin page.

2.) Go to the Wordpress Media Library and upload your Logo. Copy the full path of your uploaded logo to the clipboard.

3.) Navigate to the BlueBubble Theme Options. Paste the logo path in the field and click "Save changes". That's it. Your logo should now be active.
You can also easily enable or disable comments on portfolio items, just set a mark. fill also in the Portfolio category and the Blog category. don't wonder when nothing shows up now on your site! ;) this comes in the next step.

4.) Go to "Categories" an create two categories equal to the step before! In my example "Portfolio" and "Blog".

Change the text on the sidebar
1.) This theme comes with two sidebars. The "standard" sidebar is displayed on the frontpage and on all static pages. The "blog" sidebar os displayed on the blog... Go to the widgets site and add a text- or any other widget to the Sidebars. The standard text will be overwritten.

Add the blog
1.) Create a new page and choose "Blog" as the site template.

Change E-Mail Form settings
1.) Got to the theme folder BlueBubble -> scripts -> mail.php. Just change the two variables: "$recip" and "$from_header" to your settings! :). That's it.

2. Use The Theme

Add a new project
1.) Navigate to the "Add Post Site" from Wordpress.

2.) Add a title and write some information about your project.

3.) Upload a project image via the Wordpress upload tool. You only have to upload one "big" image, the resizes will make a php-script for you. You now need to know the path to your image. To see the path just insert the image to the post, change to HTML view and there you can see the path. Copy and paste it to the custom panel "Post Options" Image as you can see in the image below.

4.) You can know delete the image from your post section, so that you have only the image path in the custom panel. You should know have something like this:

5.) Don't forget to set the portfolio item in the right category named "portfolio" or when it is a normal blog post add the "blog" category to the post. the project and/or blog will not appear when you forget to set the category!

6.) You are done know. Click "Publish" and visit your website and see your first project.

3. Some Additional Information

The images are generated through an php-script "thimthumb.php". You don't have to upload two or three images for one project. Make sure the folder "scripts" and "cache" have the ch-mod rights (777).

On the homepage the text is croped after 120 characters with php. On the single page you can see the whole text. This is to make sure everything is in the grid. ;-)

With the standard wordpress installation is the post limit by 10 on a site. You can change this value in your Wordpress Admin section:
